ENVIRONMENTAL LABELLING

As of January 1, 2023, the new Italian legislation, which transposes and implements European Directive 94/62/EC and governs the proper fulfillment of packaging labeling obligations by responsible parties, comes into force.

In order to clarify this regulation, Ministerial Decree No. 360 of September 28, 2022, which adopts the Guidelines on environmental labeling pursuant to art. 219, paragraph 5, of Legislative Decree 3 April 2006, no. 152, was recently published.

In particular, the guideline requires that all useful information be provided to the end consumer regarding the materials that make up the packaging of a given product and how to recycle it correctly.

It is also specified that, as part of an environmental sustainability path, any stocks of finished packaging, as well as all finished products present in our warehouse prior to January 1, 2023, even if non-compliant with the labeling obligation, may be used and sold until stocks are exhausted.

To comply with this obligation, we have added a QR code to the packaging of our products, which, when scanned, will allow consumers to clearly find all information relating to the components of the packaging (primary and secondary), the material they are made of, and where they can be disposed of.
